Independent consumer champion Which? recognises Alfa Holidays among the best coach holiday providers in the UK, awarded on the strength of real customer experiences and rigorous consumer standards.
Alfa Holidays, one of the UK’s leading employee-owned coach holiday providers, is proud to announce it has been named a Which? Recommended Provider in the consumer group’s prestigious Best Coach Holiday Companies 2026 report. The accolade follows an independent survey of more than 1,300 UK holidaymakers who rated 28 coach companies on their real-life holiday experiences.
Alfa Holidays achieved an 82% customer score based on satisfaction ratings and likelihood to recommend and received five-star ratings for value for money, itinerary quality, and accurately meeting customer expectations. The company was also commended for its customer service and the professionalism of its drivers.
To earn the Which? Recommended Provider badge, companies must meet strict criteria that go beyond customer satisfaction scores. Crucially, all WRPs must commit to not passing on post-booking surcharges to customers even as fuel and tax costs rise. Holiday companies have a legal right to pass on up to 8% in additional costs after booking, but Alfa Holidays has made a firm commitment not to do so. All WRP holidays are also fully protected as package holidays under the Package Travel Regulations, giving customers guaranteed refunds or replacement holidays if anything goes wrong.

Alfa Holidays (formerly Alfa Travel) offers hundreds of coach holidays across the UK and Ireland, with feeder coach pick-ups available from more than 400 local points across England, Scotland and Wales. Holiday packages typically include return coach travel, half-board accommodation, luggage handling and excursions. With an average price of just £71 per person per night, Alfa Holidays was among the most affordable WRPs in the Which? Survey, without compromising on quality.
Customers highlighted the company’s exceptional care and attention to detail. One long-standing customer noted that Alfa Holidays “always go out of their way to make holidays as enjoyable as possible.” The convenient luggage handling service was praised by older travellers in particular, while the quality and friendliness of drivers were singled out, with one described by a guest as “very knowledgeable, friendly and funny – a perfect ambassador for the company.”
Alfa Holidays is also a standout choice for solo travellers, with no standard single room supplements on any tour, as well as dedicated ‘solo breaks’ designed for those who want to travel in the company of other like-minded individuals.
