Cromer was once a small fishing village (it is still famous for its crabs) but in the Victorian period it was patronised by royalty and became a distinctly upper class holiday resort. Today, it is full of character with narrow, twisting streets and a lovely promenade overlooking its predominantly sandy beach. Colourful gardens offer quiet relaxation but if you are feeling energetic there are leisure facilities including bowling greens, tennis courts, squash and golf. The famous Pier Pavilion puts on a unique summer show. The Norfolk countryside with its leafy lanes and flint cottages is a delight and you are never far away from the remarkable Norfolk Broads.
The quaint narrow streets are home to some delightfully atmospheric pubs and the many shops sell all manner of goods, from household items to the delicious Cromer crabs for which the town is well known.
Cromer's sand and shingle beach is popular with both bathers and surfers and offers clean waters and safe bathing. The pretty gardens along the cliff are well stocked and also feature pitch and putt and the bowling green.
We pride ourselves on delivering consistently high standards throughout our hotels: clean rooms, good quality décor, bright modern bathrooms and attention to the small details that make all the difference to your stay. All hotels have a ballroom or large area for dancing and most have comfortable lounges, sun lounges or games areas where you're free to while away the hours. Many guest rooms boast fabulous sea views, and all are immaculately presented and provided with an en suite bath or shower & WC, central heating, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and television with radio channels.
Access to Reception is via two steps at the front and one step at the rear (a ramp is available). All public rooms and most bedrooms have level access to the lift which can accommodate a wheelchair. However, rooms on the High Street elevation are only accessible via a flight of stairs. There are 4 ground floor bedrooms, which are accessible by a couple of steps. Please ensure you submit a special requirements form if you have any mobility difficulties which may affect your holiday.
