Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

First created in 1759, The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew showcases the finest, largest and most diverse range of planting, flowers and species from across the world. One of the principal plant collections in the world, seasonal flowers, historic glasshouses, rare trees and serene woodlands combine to make a tranquil visit, despite being so close to the bustling heart of London. The magnificent Glasshouse is the main focal point where you can embark on a round-the-world adventure seeing rare and endangered species that are being cared for and given sanctuary by the dedicated horticulturalists.

Bicton Park Gardens

Bicton Park Gardens – an award-winning garden attraction featuring rare and beautiful species from around the world. Why not enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat in the Orangery which over looks the Italian Garden.

Sissinghurst Castle Garden

Transformed in the 1930s, Sissinghurst Castle Garden was the backdrop to a diverse history – from time as a prison in the 1700s to being a home to the women’s land army there is so much to see and learn. Divided into a series of ‘rooms’, the gardens here re filled with informal arrangements around a theme – the White Garden, the Purple Border and the Cottage Garden for example. Amateur gardeners and keen horticulturalists are sure to be inspired!

Lullingstone Castle - The World Garden

The World Garden combines planting heritage with cutting-edge horticultural practises and rare and important botanical species continue to be added. The Hot & Spiky House contains over 1,000 varieties of cacti and succulents, The Cloud Garden has a ‘jungle’ feel with plants from warm climates and the Orchid House features some 200 varieties of orchid including the world’s most dangerous plant – the Deadly Stinger which sit safely behind a wired cage!

RHS Rosemoor

Set in the heart of North Devon, RHS Rosemoor is a tranquil haven with themed ‘garden rooms’ to explore. Celebrating the different seasons, enjoy the scents of over 250 rose varieties, admire the blazes of red, orange and yellow in the Hot Garden or relax in the soothing pastels and blues of the Cool Garden. There are trees here from every continent of the Northern Hemisphere, as well as rare apple trees in the orchard, woodland walks and locally sourced delicacies to be enjoyed in the tearoom.
