Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel – to Overnight stay in Dublin Area

  • We depart and make our way to Holyhead for our sailing to Dublin. On arrival we make our way to our overnight stay in the Dublin Area.

Day 2 - Outward Travel - via Cork to Killarney

  • Our journey continues as we head West across the beautiful Emerald Isle. En route we visit Cork – the second largest city in Ireland and a maritime city with a wealth of history to be discovered. Later in the day we continue our journey to Killarney.

Day 3 - Full Day Dingle Peninsula

  • Take in the fabulous coastal scenery of the Dingle Peninsula. Expansive beaches, ancient sites and rocky headlands can be admired as we make our way to the colourful harbour town of Dingle. Famed for its hardware pubs, there are also fashion and jewellery shops, fine dining options and some of the best ice cream to be found on the island of Ireland! We’ll also make our way to Slea Head to admire the views of the rugged Blasket Islands, known as the ‘next parish to America’.

Day 4 - Full Day Ring of Kerry

  • A 100-mile scenic spectacular awaits today as we embark on an awe-inspiring excursion around the famous Ring of Kerry. A place where pristine golden sands give way to incredible cliffs and rolling green hills disappear dramatically into sparkling lakes, we are joined by a knowledgeable guide who will tell us the tales and legends of the history, people and landscapes on this wonderful day out. We will skirt Ireland’s highest mountains, pass through Killorglin as well as taking in the incomparable views of Moll’s Gap and Ladies View – do not forget your camera!

Day 5 - Day at Leisure in Killarney including Jaunting Car - Eviston House Hotel

  • Today is a day to relax and explore the bustling town of Killarney at your own pace. Popular with visitors for over 250 years, Killarney has welcomed famous guests including Queen Victoria and Thomas Cook. Take a leisurely stroll through the pretty streets, which are filled with independent shops, cafés and cosy pubs. Why not relax with a pint of the ‘black stuff’ and enjoy some traditional Irish ‘craic’ with the locals? During the day, there will also be an opportunity to enjoy a traditional Jaunting Car ride through Killarney National Park. The Jaunting Car meeting point is approximately 650 metres from the hotel, around an 8–10 minute walk, and you will need to make your own way there. The traditional pony and trap ride will take you past the impressive spire of St Mary’s Cathedral, charming thatched cottages and through the beautiful surroundings of Killarney National Park. The experience also includes a short stop at Ross Castle, where you can discover more about its fascinating history.

Day 6 - En route Dublin to Overnight stay in Dublin Area

  • We depart and retrace our tracks across Ireland to arrive in the lively capital city of Dublin. Here there will be some free time to explore – take in the sights such as the Ha’Penny Bridge, Trinity College and the Molly Malone statue, hit the shops on Grafton Street or head into one of the many colourful pubs of the Temple Bar district – the choice is yours! Later in the day we’ll continue to our overnight hotel in the Dublin Area.

Day 7 - Return travel – Dublin-Holyhead with breakfast on board

  • Our adventure in Ireland has sadly come to an end and we depart early this morning making our way to the port for our return sailing to Holyhead and have breakfast on board.

Eviston House Hotel

A veritable institution in the heart of Killarney, the Eviston House is ideally situated amid traditional shops and pubs, and even boasts the famous Danny Mann music bar. All guest rooms are en-suite and include free WiFi, satellite TV, ironing board and free toiletries.
