Overview

The Isle of Man is a self-governing island in the Irish Sea, known for its stunning coastal scenery, rich Celtic and Viking heritage, and relaxed pace of life. On the island’s north coast, Ramsey is the second-largest town and a popular seaside destination. It offers a sandy beach, picturesque harbour, independent shops, cafés, pubs, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as Mooragh Park, the Albert Tower, and scenic walks along the promenade. Ramsey also serves as a gateway to the island’s beautiful countryside, including nearby hills and coastal viewpoints.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Half Day Peel

  • We’ll venture to the west coast of the Isle of Man for a half-day excursion to Peel, a relaxed and scenic outing. Rich in history and tradition, this seaside town is best known for the impressive Peel Castle, which stands proudly overlooking the bay. Enjoy wandering around the attractive harbour, watching fishing boats come and go, or exploring the cafés and shops along the waterfront. With its sandy beach, peaceful promenade, and strong links to Manx maritime heritage, Peel combines coastal scenery, culture, and charm in one welcoming destination.

Day 3 - Excursion to Douglas & Laxey

  • Discover Douglas, the Isle of Man’s capital, a lively seaside town set around a sweeping bay and elegant Victorian promenade. Offering a mix of history, culture, and modern attractions, enjoy browsing the shops, relaxing in cafés, exploring museums, or taking a ride on the famous horse-drawn trams. We’ll also visit the picturesque village of Laxey, nestled in a beautiful valley on the island’s east coast. Renowned for the magnificent Laxey Wheel, the world’s largest working waterwheel, the village is rich in mining heritage and traditional Manx character. With its scenic setting and charming atmosphere, Laxey provides a fascinating glimpse into the Isle of Man.

Day 4 - Southern Island Tour - Port Erin, Castletown & The Sound

  • Discover the southern areas of the island today as we visit Port Erin, a popular destination since Victorian times thanks to a beautiful sheltered bay and fine sandy beach. We then make our way to The Sound where you can admire the views across to the Calf of Man and spot seals in the surrounding waters and then onto Castletown. The former capital of the island, the castle dominates the town and there is an impressive selection of shops and restaurants in its narrow winding streets.

Day 5 - Return Travel

Ramsey Park Hotel

Perched above Mooragh Lake and just a pebble’s skim from Ramsey Bay, Ramsey Park Hotel offers a refreshing twist on the Classic Lodges experience. With its crisp contemporary style and unbeatable location in the north of the island, it’s the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Man whether you’re here for the TT Races, windswept walks, wildlife watching, or a working weekend. From the moment you arrive, the island feels yours to discover. Return each evening to warm hospitality, relaxed dining, and panoramic sea views.

We are members of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and the Coach Tourism Association – bodies established to encourage standards of excellence in our industry.
