Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Bowness-on-Windermere & Ambleside

  • We travel to the popular village of Bowness-on-Windermere, a lively town nestled on the lakeshore with boats gliding across the water and stunning views all around. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the independent shops, or relax in one of the delightful tea rooms with a coffee and watch the world go by. Later, we visit Ambleside, a picturesque town at the northern tip of Windermere, renowned for its quaint streets, historic buildings, and beautiful surroundings.

Day 3 - Day at leisure - Derwentwater

  • Enjoy a day at leisure by Derwentwater, the Queen of the Lakes, surrounded by timeless fells and beauty. Simply relax by the water’s edge, or take a gentle stroll into the charming town of Keswick - the choice is yours!

Day 4 - Excursion to Keswick & Grasmere

  • Today we venture into the spectacular scenery of the Northern Lakelands as we visit Keswick, situated on the shores of Derwentwater and overlooked by Cat Bells. This pretty market town is a hive of activity with shops and cafes that lead down to the beautiful waters’ edge. We then make our way to the quaint village of Grasmere which lies at the very heart of the National Park. Follow your nose to Sarah Nelson’s Grasmere Gingerbread Shop situated in the grounds of the parish church – still made to a secret recipe!

Day 5 - Return Travel

  • Return travel
