Skegness is the largest resort on the Lincolnshire coast and has been a firm favourite holiday destination for decades. Wide, clean, award-winning beaches are amongst the fine attributes of this lively town. Between both the North and South Parades and the beach, you will find a boating lake, bowling greens, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, mini golf and the lovely Compass Gardens and Tower Gardens. In the evening, the town comes to life in a different way with the Pleasure Beach lit up and theatre audiences throng to see popular stars entertain, Skegness has everything to make your holiday complete.
Things to do in Skegness
Visit Boston and Spalding
A stop off at Boston and Spalding is an absolute must when you’re in Skegness. Rich in history, both towns date back to Norman times. Infamous for religious persecution in the 17th century, and a hugely important port up until the 1600s, Boston is simply steeped in history and culture.
But Lincoln isn’t all about history, there are many lovely boutique shops, art galleries and stunning restaurants in the area. It’s the perfect day out for everyone!
Stop off at Lincoln
Lincoln’s stunning cathedral is very popular with tourists and it is also surrounded by beautiful buildings from the same era. One such building is the castle, which holds the original version of the Magna Carta – what an interesting place to visit!

Mablethorpe, Louth & Wainfleet
We often stop off at Mablethorpe during our excursions – a lovely little area full of history and shops! At Wainfleet, we also usually stop by the wonderful Batemans Brewery, where we always receive a warm welcome. Finally, a trip to Skegness wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Louth – a lovely market town full of incredible architecture.
