We stay in the diverse and unique Wiltshire town, Swindon, which offers a great base from which to explore the historical and cultural attractions of this interesting part of the UK, from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bath, one of England’s most beautiful cities, to the world-famous Stonehenge and University town of Oxford. Swindon itself has a whole host of attractions to explore - discover the town's industrial past at STEAM or step back in time at beautiful Lydiard Park. There's plenty of shopping opportunities and restaurant, pubs and cafes to enjoy too!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Full Day to Bath

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bath, one of England’s most beautiful cities. Bath is a compact city, with stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture – almost as if straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Admire the iconic Royal Crescent, marvel at the beautiful Abbey or perhaps visit one of the many museums. There’s also a huge amount of independent shopping to be enjoyed in the historic streets and no end of quaint tearooms in which to relax!

Day 3 - Full Day Marlborough & Stonehenge

We call at the market town of Marlborough before making our way to iconic Stonehenge. Of historical and cultural significance, this world-famous stone circle is a fascinating place to visit and the state-of-the-art visitor centre regales the myths and legends of this most important site.

Day 4 - Full Day Oxford

A centre of education for centuries, Oxford is home to Britain’s oldest university. Here you will find charming cobbled lanes, canal-side walks and fascinating museums which combine for a wonderful visit. Admire the honey-coloured buildings, relax in a cosy pub or why not delve into one of the many free museums or libraries to get a take in the scholarly atmosphere.

Day 5 - Return Travel

The Leonardo Hotel Swindon provides us with the perfect base from which to explore, situated just a 5 minute walk from the town centre. With comfortable and stylish bedrooms, guest comfort is a priority. The Bar & Grill offers light bites and hearty meals as well as full breakfasts to set you up for the day! Please note that there is no evening entertainment offered at this hotel.

Most of our holidays are operated by our own fleet of mostly modern Mercedes luxury coaches, all of which have an on board washroom and are air conditioned. We also work with selected third party coach operators who supplement our own fleet during peak periods. The facilities on third party coaches can vary, but the majority have air conditioning. We are members of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and the Coach Tourism Association – bodies established to encourage standards of excellence in our industry.
