Orkney Discovery

Resort - Orkney

Overview

Discover the rugged beauty of Orkney - an island full of history and heritage just waiting to be discovered. Based in the 'capital' of Kirkwall there is so much to see and do. Officially a Royal Burgh since 1486, a Viking spirit runs through the town, focused on the magnificent St Magnus Cathedral which is well worth a visit. The town is filled with independent retailers and the High Street was once voted the most beautiful High Street in Scotland.
